Marilyn Colvin Boon ,Clinical Hypnotherapist


Marilyn is a certified and registered Hypnotherapist by The American Board of Hypnotherapy, The National Guild of Hypnotists in the USA. Registered in the UK with the General Hypnotherapy Register (QGHP), a Clinical Member of the Australian Hypnotherapy Association, an Affiliate of the Medical School of Hypnosis UK, Advanced Practitioner of NLP and a Faculty Member and Trainer of the HypnoBirthing® Institute, USA.

Marilyn is a Master Practitioner Hypnotist in Medical Hypnosis,studying with James Poole 'Medical Hypnosis' ; a two year program run by the Austin Corporation UK. The course covered twenty major illnesses, together with specialist training in preparation for Surgery, Childbirth and Situational Traumas.

These courses are recognised and accredited by the National Guild of Hypnotist and the GHR as continuing professional education for practicing Hypnotherapists.

Marilyn is a qualified and recognised trainer of the American Board of Hypnotherapy and runs the ABH Modern Hypnosis workshops as part of The Alternative Centre's suite of services.  

Marilyn was one of the founder members serving on the UK HypnoBirthing® Advisory Board and she is a Faculty Member of the HypnoBirthing® Institute, a Trainer and a Practitioner.

In 2005, Marilyn was invited to re-introduced The HypnoBirthing® Certified Training program in Australia and New Zealand to healthcare providers and professionals and to assist in establishing closer ties with the Institute in the USA. Marilyn holds an International Ambassador Award from the HypnoBirthing® Institute for recognition of outstanding work.

For the past several years Marilyn has run workshops and seminars in many parts of the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore & South Korea.

 Marilyn has identified the urgency in promoting health and fitness via educational workshops to help individuals and the community in taking back responsibility for their wellness.
